USA 34 is Carson Crain and B Lindsay’s campaign to represent the United States in the Nacra 17 at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. After finishing second in the U.S. selection process for Paris 2024, Carson chose to keep going. The next opportunity is a home Games, and USA 34 is being built around the experience of the last cycle and a new partnership with B. B Lindsay is the team’s crew. A high-performance skipper in the 29er and 49erFX before moving into the Nacra 17, she brings experience from international youth championships and college sailing. She and Carson raced together at the 2026 Nacra 17 World Championship in Quiberon, an early international benchmark as they develop the timing, communication and trust required to race a fully foiling Olympic catamaran at speed. Carson’s route to the Nacra 17 spans several corners of high-performance sailing. He grew up sailing in Northeast Harbor, Maine, campaigned the RS:X windsurfer for Team USA and competed at World Championships, Olympic test events and the 2015 Pan American Games. He later founded and helmed Next Generation USA in the 2017 Red Bull Youth America’s Cup, racing the foiling AC45F while also managing the campaign. The work toward Los Angeles is straightforward but demanding: more time in the boat, high-quality coaching, international regattas and repeated training blocks against the world’s best teams. Support for USA 34 helps turn that work into a sustained campaign. The goal is not simply to reach the 2028 starting line, but to arrive prepared to compete for a medal on home waters.
